Orientation Part 2

Hey!

So I'm sitting in the airport in Wellington waiting for my flight to Dunedin and finally had a minute to upload some more photos and update this!

After my last post, we woke up and went to go see the Lady Knox Geyser erupt and go through the Waiotapu Thermal Park. It was SO interesting and we had a guide take up through the park and explain the history and all the rocks and elements to us. It was so beautiful, but quite cold! In the afternoon we went zorbing which is where you get in your "togs" thats what they call bathing suit and then they take you up hill and you get in a huge ball with one other person and some water and then you roll down a hill. It was so much fun, you slip and slid all around and cant stop laughing the whole way down! Check out the picture:) After that we went back to the hotel(this one is much nicer than the first night) and got ready for the traditional Maori dinner. They took us on a bus to their village and explained to us their history and we watched them do their war dance-"the haka". It was so interesting to watch. After they fed us a nice dinner and we sang songs on the whole way back to the hotel. I really enjoyed the evening. Later we all went out and had a few drinks and I had fun getting to know some of the other girls even better. This morning we woke up and went to the Rotarua airport, it was so tiny. The craziest thing is that they didnt even have any security! You just checked in and walked on the runway to the plane. Well I have to go catch my flight now! I love and miss everyone.....ill post again soon!

the green lake is me at the geothermal park, the lady knox geyser erupting and im sure you can guess the other is zorbing!:)
